Faiza Mohamed accepts her award

The work of Karama partner Faiza Jama Mohamed has been celebrated by DefendDefenders, the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project.

Faiza’s incredible contribution to the cause was recognised at the DefendDefenders 20th anniversary celebrations in Kampala, Uganda, on 4th November. As the Africa director for global women’s rights NGO Equality Now, Faiza has led efforts across Africa on key priorities such as the ratification and implementation of the Maputo Protocol.

Faiza is a founding member of Karama and we celebrate her recognition by DefendDefenders.
