Dr Azza Kamel recognized with Arab Women Excellence Award

The Karama network extends our congratulations to our colleague Dr Azza Kamel as she receives the Arab Women Excellence award for community development.

Dr Azza Kamel is one of the founding members of Karama, and has a long and distinguished career in activism. In addition to her own organization - ACT - Dr Azza is a widely-published author, poet and columnist, and as vice-chair of the Aswan International Women's Film Festival has established one of the region’s leading forums at the intersection of art, culture and activism.


We welcome this recognition for Dr Azza’s incredible work over many years, and congratulate our incredible friend for all that she has achieved.
