JWF’s work to end violence against women and girls in Lebanon highlighted in UN report
The work of Karama partner Justice Without Frontiers has been highlighted in the UN Trust Fund Report to the Commission on the Status of Women .
Led by activist and lawyer Brigitte Chelebian, Justice Without Frontiers (JWF) works to end violence against women and girls through legal reform advocacy and by increasing access to justice for women across Lebanon. JWF’s work has seen them work closely with the justice sector to make sure that jurists are better able to apply protections and that women know their rights and are better prepared to seek legal remedy.
This work has been highlighted in by the UN Trust Fund in their annual report to the Commission on the Status of Women, which this year has the priority theme of access to justice. You can read the full report here, and the UN Trust Fund has also published an advocacy brief ahead of CSW71 next month.
